The most common sizes we supply are 10mm and 20mm gravel. 10mm is usually best for pathways, as it is easy to walk on. The 20mm is best for drives, because the smaller 10mm gravel may get into the treads of car tyres.

Response To Covid-19 – Business Continuity Update

At Smith & Sons (Bletchington) Ltd (Smiths) the health and wellbeing of our staff, as well as our suppliers, customers and contractors is our top priority. As the situation continues to develop around COVID-19, we thought it would be important to update you on our current position. With the recent announcement from the PM on the 23rd March 2020, a list of non-essential businesses was identified for closure. This did not include the construction and quarry industry.

Smiths have taken the decision to continue operating until further guidance or updates are received from the Government. This means its business as normal for Smiths so we will maintain normal office and site operating hours. Though this could be on a potentially reduced workforce, where possible, some of our team will be working remotely. We are constantly monitoring updates released from the Government, but also putting in measures to ensure we minimise any risk and prevent any disruption to the business.

We appreciate that these are difficult times but we are confident that we can continue to operate as normal. Though we are ceasing all formal business meetings with our customers and suppliers, please feel free to call us, email us, or we can accommodate other forms of remote communication to help supply your needs.

Best regards
